Silverstone Race To The Sky

As some of you know I'm off down to Wanaka/Queenstown for the Silverstone Race To The Sky 10 anniversary hill climb.
I'm hoping to avoid all the cops on the way down and back up as well. I'm trying to do it on 1 tank of gas each way (480 odd km) which is kinda pushing the maximum range of the WRXtreme Machine. Just in case I'll be carrying a Jerry can of gas coz running out in the middle of central or in the mckenzie would suck balls.

I dislike the IRD (Inland Revenue Department = tax men for those who dont know)
I filed my 2006 Income tax return on the 3RD OF MAY and its now the 8th of july why dont i have my freeking refund yet???

the IRD policy states all IR3 personal tax returns will be processed withing 10 weeks of filing and 80% within 8 weeks.

Every return i file at work when its a refund the refund is issued the next smegging day!

WHY IS MY REFUND NOT IN MY BANK ACCOUNT IRD BASTARDS???!!!

It has snowed twice in the past two weeks and both days most of the others in my office did come in but some who could have decided to stay home.
All of those who stayed home have real 4wd vehicles seeing as they live on farms and could have made it in with less problems than my crappy station wagon.
it just irritates me.

Hey Peoples

time for me to vent again.

It realy tick me off when clients pressure me to get their work done within days.
Today just before lunch I had a request to have a draft ready for the client by 4pm.
Its 3 days work to get this job to a clean draft stage.
this kind of pressure is why i want to get out of public practice accounting.

More after I go insane trying to get this job done by lunchtime tomorrow

I got bored so now I Blog

I was reading the dilbert-blog I'n which Scott Adams asked people to submit ideas for the Dilbert strip based on their real life experiences.
I entered a few of my own and started reading through everyone elses responces. I felt the sudden urge to create a blog dedicated to my random rants as a form of self therapy. well its free and phycologists cost like $150 an hour.

S0 here is my dilbertarian idea


Just after I started my current job this incident happened

IT tech sitting at Server grumbling about not being able to find drivers for the new printer.
Me, "Why don't you Google for them"
IT tech "what is Google???"
Me slaps forehead

Or this encounter with my PHB just last week

I arrive on Monday morning to find a note on my desk
"Please change your password to the correct one please"
PHB then arrives and the following conversation takes place
PHB "You got my note? I need you to change your password to the standard one"
Me "Ah that defeats the purpose of having a password"
PHB "But I need to be able to access your computer for upgrades and such"
Me "That is what your administrator access is for"
PHB "Yes but you still need to change your password so anyone else can use your computer if they need to"
Me "No They can use their own logon if they want to do that"

It ended in a stalemate, I didn’t change my password and PHB didn’t get to check my web history to see how I’d been spending so much time at dilbert.com and the Dilbert blog
